How to Make Ginger & Asian Pear Tea

One way to beat the winter cold is to spend some self-care time indoors. Our favorite way? With an herbal tea infused with time-tested ingredients shown to provide the body with wellness benefits. Make yourself a cup of spicy and aromatic ginger lemon tea to aid with digestion and warm you up inside and out.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium to large Asian pear 

  • 3 pitted dates 

  • 1 fresh ginger root

  • 1 tsp. honey

  • 10 cups of water

Directions:

  1. Rinse pear and dates with water and peel the skin off the ginger root.

  2. Slice the pear into wedge shapes (remove the core), cut the dates into slices (remove the pit), and slice the ginger 

  3. Put all ingredients into a medium pot with 10 cups of water. Bring to a boil for 45-60 minutes (up to 90 minutes is fine). 

  4. Serve the tea warm. Add 1 tsp of honey. Optional: you can add slices of dates to the cup.

  5. Enjoy!
